So, given Webster's definitions and your interpretation of those definitions, classical (in a strict sense, 1750 - 1825) would be a style and jazz would be a genre?
Also, would you know of a comprehensive listing of styles and genres of music? Lots of sources use the terms, but none I've found have tackled a listing.
