Hmmm? I don't think my post was negetive at all. Just pointing out that the student will also be nervous - I know I always am when studying with a new teacher. In fact, I was being positive by saying that she should try and relax. I am not suggesting that there is something wrong with her if she is nervous. I am always a little apprehensive in front of a new student - or students.
I will never forget my very first experience teaching students. It was just 2 beginner 5th grade baritone players. I was shaking the entire 1/2 hour. I don't think one word I said made sense. It got a lot easier by the second lesson.
