Just do an archive search--there are hundreds of posts on this one. Basically, it boils down to this:
1. Some folks like them a lot and they do just fine with them.
2. Other folks don't like them and wouldn't touch one with a 10 ft. pole.
3. The repair guys generally don't care for them because of the thin metal, poor finish and troublesome valves.
4. You probably can get a better-constructed tuba for the money.
