Wait a little while before you make that switch. I talked to Marcus Theinart a couple of weeks ago when he was at UNT, and he is making a 1291 into a CC. He is customizing the valve section, but using the bell of a 1291. I played on his prototype, and I was fairly impressed. It was fairly free blowing with even registers. I couldn't get a good feel for intonation because I only got to play it for a couple of minutes. I wouldn't give up my 56j for anything else, but everybody has their own opinions. Just find what you like best.
