I completely agree. I have the yellow brass version and the sound is much more suited to my sound than the gold brass version. The blend and character are far superior. I borrowed the gold brass version for a recital and did not find any advantage to this instrument. In fact, I found the weight and sound to be detrimental to my overall opinion of the horn.
