There's a lot Yamaha and other makes now mixing in with the Bessons (especially now that a lot of the Besson line is made in India thus putting Brits out of work). Grimethorpe and some others aren't strictly Besson anymore, haven't been for a while.
The cornets did have a weird mix (Bach, Yamaha, a King(!) or two.). One thing that would really help the cornets is a strong soprano player. Not to knock the last guy I heard, but that chair takes a certain kind of person to fill. The front row is a little uneven as well. All things that will fall into place with any luck.
