Sounds like you built a bass version. If your arms aren't long enough to hold that, use the leftover tubing to build a tenor version tuned in Bb.

I used 25 inches of 1 inch inside diameter tubing for the inside tube. The mouthpiece was 2 3/4 inch long piece of 1.25" i.d. tubing glued on one end overlapping the inner tube by 1/2 inch. The outer sliding tube was 31.25" of the 1.25" i.d. tubing. Mine fit fairly well, but I put a 1 layer wrap of electrical tape on the bottom of the inner tube to seal the gap between them.

You should have no trouble holding this somewhat smaller instrument with one hand on the mouthpiece and the other on the slide. If you need more details, email me.
