It is a pretty decent horn, although I thought it played similarly to the 451, perhaps a little darker. The trigger is also located next to the fourth valve which is different from the Prestige. I play tested the 551, the 451, and my YEP-642S at Dave Fedderly's last summer and Mike Russo thought I definitely sounded the best on the Yamaha.

However, Meinl-Weston has now come up with what Todd Milam of Rayburn Music called a 451T. It looked to me like a 451 with the 551 trigger and WITHOUT those gold accents. I thought it was pretty decent.
