The original Mr. Cerveny is behind all designs of rotary tubas, and the Cerveny used to be leading on the edge of brass technology up close to WWII.

Since then lack of good materials, staying too close with old traditions, and less than superb craftsmanship has brought the company, where one honestly has to doubt, whether they make pro tubas.

If I were to buy a Cerveny, I would stay away from their piston tubas, search carefully among their rotary models, and most likely go home with their BBb 4RV helicon.

Lots of the helicons in my galleries, albeit mostly under their in-house stencil names like Amati and Lignatone.
