I have played all three versions of the MF 3 and I think they're of very high quality. Personally, I prefer the MF3 and the MF3-H to the MF3-B. I felt the 3-B was a little too big for everyday playing but made things pop out just great on low ballet excerpts. I found the MF3 to be the more flexible and comfortable of the other two, but the 3-H, for me, had a little more zing to the sound. I was able to try them out on solos, etudes, in my brass quintet and with the Oshkosh Symphony with good results. The shanks of these mouthpieces fit the leadpipe of my HB-2P much better than the mouthpiece I had been using before, so I think this may have helped intonation a bit. Kent Eshelman, Josh Kutchin and I did some experimenting with the various horns we own and we all had pretty similar (positive) results. I hope to have a more detailed review out very soon.
