I got myself two (one clear, one red) from Mr. Fredericksen at the conference, and will be using them daily on tour through mid-March.

I'll let ya'll know how well they work, whether the plastic grips my face too much, etc. I'm most eager to play on a mouthpiece that can sit untouched in cold weather for half an hour and not freeze my chops when we kick off "Semper Fidelis". One of our ceremonies last fall was in 40-degree weather, and I really appreciated having a plastic mouthpiece at the time (a DEG Astro 25... had to be careful about overblowing it, but my lips always felt warm enough).

I'm interested to know more about the polypropylene-derived mouthpieces, too. I wonder how closely that material is related to the polyethylene used in high-strength, low-friction kite lines and fishing lines.
