ADJUCT INSTRUCTOR, not PROFESSOR. Professor is a rank that is not easily earned. Lots o' schoolin' and experience go into making any kind of professorship such assistant, associate, full professorship. (Although Corbin and Ken do have the experience...).
Professorship has all sorts of demands. Being published, recital tours (in the case of applied music faculty...) are just some of the hoops to jump through.
