I have a question about 2xj Conn tuba production. It may have been answered on Tubenet before, but I can't find it. I've read (mostly here, I guess) that when Conn moved their production to Texas, that the quality of their instruments suffered. I've also read that this is also the time when they scrapped the tooling for these horns. Does this mean that no 2xjs were made in Texas? If not, when did they actually stop making them? And, if they did make them in Texas, are they inferior to the Indiana horns?
