Sure, you can have the body (only, traditionally) be outfitted with a satin-silver finish.

The plating company will do the glass-bead blasting and the plating. The repair shop will do the cleaning and preparation.

Preparation would include

- any required dent removal
- a fresh jewelry finish on the bell interior, and masking off the bell interior
- masking off any engraving pattern...or having an engraving pattern added prior to putting on the new satin silver finish
- masking off any ferrules, etc., to "trick it out"
- packing for shipment
- unpacking upon return, removing stray silver plating, and cleaning off discoloration from non-plated areas.
- any required final refitting of parts

Cost? prolly just under $1000 to significantly under $1000, depending on dent-removal requirements, "tricking out" requirements, and engraving requirements...well over $1000, obviously, if the instrument has major problems.

btw: Gold plated bell interiors are not as unaffordable as one might imagine...Though combining this with gold plated slides, caps, fingerbuttons, etc. tends to run up the bill a good bit.
