After digging around a while I have located the original set of bits for my Martin Mammoth sousa. Someone suggested that there were probably two bits of different configurations. That is correct. The bit that fits into the neck is angled and the bit that fits into the angled bit is 'S' shaped. I don't have the ability to post a picture but will email an image to someone who does.
