Jay is correct - fix the note. American Salute is one of the worst-planned printed editions you're likely to see, with a page turn in the middle of the solo, no less. It's almost worth it to re-copy the part. Plus, it's a good idea to get the bassoon cues under your fingers, since, in real life, you won't be playing this piece with too many bands that have three bassoons. For a composer that took the trouble to compose serious concert band music, it's suprising that Gould let this thing out with all the mistakes, and poor planning for readability. Belwin-Mills was always a cheapo when it came to engraving, and they never go back and fix the corrections.
