For about 20 years I've played in a Memorial Day service at a local church to honor the Veterans and the Fallen. Every year we play about 5-8 pieces, and have a time for Taps, etc. Pieces in the past have included Armed Forces Salute, America, Battle Hymn, American Patrol, On the Mall, Washington Post, of course Stars and Stripes-you get the drift.
I'm looking for ideas for pieces to play this year. This years service will be dedicated to Korean War/Vietnam War veterans. I would especially like to find a piece the band of about 20-30 people could walk in while playing.
