It was a decision not landed on lightly, I assure you. You are welcome to submit another recording by the new deadline, without paying another fee, of course. This new deadline is a result, exactly as it says, of postal services in Eastern Europe having significant problems processing mail items, specifically those designated with accelerated delivery. Apparently items have been returned to sender as being suspicious, and so forth. This is not meant to penalize anyone, nor unfairly give anyone an advantage. It was, plainly and simply, a way to allow transport of all materials. It was a decision that the host, Janos Mazura, pled for and the competitions coordinator and I (with consultation of others) eventually reached. We are currently workign with the judges so that the response time will be accelerated so that the notification deadline will only be pushed back by two weeks--all those who submit will recieve notification of the new date.
