Yes, I wrote about this on my web page when I compared the Miraphone to the York Master. The York Master's bell reminded me of a bi-radial design that is often used in near-field studio monitors, or in rooms that are wider than they are deep. The Miraphone bell seemed more like an exponential horn, which is designed to throw the sound straight and deep. That sort of speaker is popular for the center array in movie theaters that are much deeper than they are wide.

But now I'm not so sure. The bell on the Holton has me confused. It has all the characteristics of that wide dispersion, but it just doesn't seem to have as much of that bi-radial flare. Compare the Holton bell with the Conn recording bell in the picture above. Without more careful measurements, the results are not conclusive.
