I agree. Many school districts, as well funded as any in the country, and a very large and relatively wealthy metro-area population. No one person is in charge of too much, so you have lots of options and lots of potential clients, even if there are one or two that you decide you'd rather avoid.
The only warning is that there are lots of euphonium players of high caliber in the local grad music program, but I think still not enough to use up all the potential students.
