I use Sound Studio or Spark XL for recording on my G3. Just run a line from the headphone jack to the audio-in jack on the Mac.
Sound Studio is shareware and I think is fairly cheap for the registration. Good program that is easy to use and has lots of features. Spark has a free version (LE), but I use the full XL version for the added features.
Can't wait to get my HI-MD recorder this summer so that I won't need to "record" from the MD to the Mac any more!
