I was always fond of music for lur. It is similar to bugle but is two meters long. (Not to be confused with the kohorn or bukkehorn, though all are Scandanavian.) It was more S-shaped like the serpent, no finger holes though.
I used to have a lur ablum that was a real hoot at parties. I'd like to build the repertoir, so if you find some music, let me know.
