Actually that instrument of Tommy's is a valve trombone with a bass trombone bell with triggers. Tommy does have a Miraphone BBb Contrabass Trombone that he uses on occasion (Tim Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes). Usually Tommy prefers to use a cimbasso - unless there are glissandi written and then he picks up the Contrabass Bone.
