Joe, did you ever read the ITG "article" (1996 or 1997?) that did a serious study of the most popular brands of valve oil? It was a look at all kinds of characteristics including evaporation rates and so forth. Blue juice was never the best, but was in the top two or three in every category, putting it in second place overall. The winner was the polymer product produced by the authors of the study, which is why I put "article" in quotes above. However, despite the advertising ploy, the research was sound and seemed legitimate for all of the other lubes tested. I believe that good old lamp oil and sewing machine oil were tested as well. You might want to find and read that article. It is interesting and amusing, like "Consumer Reports: Head-To Head Valve Oil Shootout!" or something like that.
