I prefer the 967. The bell size difference really made a difference in how the horn played for me. I tend to play with a mentality of power and want a solid horn. The smaller bell would be a fit for me if I was after more finesse, I suppose. Try them out and see what you like.

Are you playing more solo stuff than band?
Are you marching with it?

If you're playing in large ensembles, than the 967 might be what you want. If you're marching a lot, than you might want the lighter horn. If you're doing a lot of soloing, than you'll want to try quite a few horns and pick something based upon hours of trials.
