I'm a high schooler who is working on some audition and performance exam material. I already play many of the etudes from volume 1 of Blazevich's 70 studies for tuba, but they seem kind of short. Is this a factor? Does the second volume contain longer pieces? Also, for anyone with a lot more experience than I have, do judges tend to have any biases regarding accompanied and unaccompanied solos? Thanks for your help.
