As an adult tubist, my budget, time constraints, and wife will permit me to participate in only one summer program. I've been researching the following:

Blue Lake Adult Band Camp;
Colonial Tuba-Euphonium Institute;
Humboldt Brass Chamber Music Workshop (Tony Clements)
Rafael Mendez Brass Institute (Tim Northcut, Summit Brass)
Skyline Brass Camp (Kevin Stees);
Tuba-Euphonium Camp at University of Oklahoma (Brian Bowman, Ted Cox, Sam Pilafian, Deanna Swoboda);
...and others.

Please relate your experiences at these programs. What is the level of musicianship among the students--tuba players as well as players of other instruments? What is the teacher/student ratio? What did you gain from the experience that you would not have derived from the playing you do and lessons you take near your home during the rest of the year?

For those who are familiar with more than one of the programs listed above, please compare them.

Thank you very much!!!!
