Check the Winter 1996 issue of the TUBA Journal. On the cover is a very impressive photo of a 5 rotary valved Meinl-Weston cimbasso in F played by Michael Bunn, tubist at the Kennedy Center (Wash. DC) Opera Orchestra. Inside that same publication, there is an article by Clifford Bevan on the cimbasso.
I own a Cerveny 4 rotary valved bass trombone in F that looks very similar to Bunn's horn, except mine is wrapped in a straight-line configuration like a standard bass trombone. I have never played a cimbasso, but those that have say the tone is an "acquired taste".
