There's another solo CD of Howard Johnson too. It came back in 1988 on the European label JMT Productions. It's entitled "First Line" and can probably be found as JMT 882014 STEREO. It has printed an extra serial number also 834 414-2. Hey, here's an adress too: Stefan E. Winter, postfach 14 03 06, 8000 München 5. Good luck!

On this CD Mr. Stewart is in company with Stanton Davis, trumpet, Steve Turre, trombone, Kelvyn Bell, guitar and Idris Muhammad, drums. Special guest: Arto Tuncboyachi, percussion. Half of the tracks are Stewarts own compositions. Like "Nonet", wich he has recorded with Lester Bowie. Title track really rocks, and he does a nice "Sometimes I feel". And "Hey Mama"!!! Well worth diggin' into!
