For the money you're willing to spend, I would check out the Rudolph Meinl tubas. Specifically, their 3/4 and 4/4 tubas are excellent craftsmanship and very flexible in their applications. Be sure to play as many horns as possible before you make any decisions because you never know what horn may really fit you. Happy hunting!
