When I was in school, we had Finale & Mosaic on the Conservatory computers. If you are looking for someting easy to use & for your personal use, I would recommend Mosaic. It's incredibly user-friendly, and is more than capable of what it sounds like you need.
And for the record, I HATE Finale.
