I disagree about it being difficult to play loud on the BBb side. I switched the rotor on mine so it is always in BBb, and I find it to be easy to get to higher dynamic ranges. In fact, after I spent a lot of time playing it in band and orchestra, I tried playing a regular BBb tuba, and found the CB50 to be much more free blowing than the other BBb.
