Anderson is definately the place for plating work. They do just about all of the plating for The Elkhart, IN makers from WW keys to marching mellophones. Any plated finish is probably under a thou (.001") closer to half a thou. They can double silver if that's what you want, and also have copper which can go on thick if you want (though typically for building up on valves for refitting jobs) or they can do nickel. A gold plate is usually done over silver, so you could get an extra layer that way, too. But it would take a huge layer off of your checkbook, eh?
