Sean has summed this whole thing up neat and tidy!!!! BTW, I have seen a growing trend in what I would consider "better" high school programs to purchase one or two CC horns. There is a lot to be said for the motivation it gives the students who are rewarded with the honor of playing the instruments, and those students who are thinking about college get a jump start. Incidentally, switching back and forth from the CC horn to BBb sousaphones doesn't seem to pose much of a problem. This is probably because the marching band music is memorized in the programs that I am familiar with. Anyway, just thought you all might be interested.
