I own a CB50 (same as G50) and am pleased with the way it sounds on either side. Unlike most people, I play it on the BBb side most of the time, and find it to be a much better BBb tuba than many of the "real" BBb tubas I tried previous to purchasing it. I use the CC side sometimes, but not as much. It is true that I have to pull out my slides quite a bit to get the horn to play in tune, but I liked the horn so much when I played it that I was willing to put up with that. If you are interested in finding out about purchasing one, contact David Fedderly. He has a website for his company, the Baltimore Brass Company, and will give you the best deal on one. He has lots of other horns, used and new. Before buying a G50, or any other horn for that matter, play one to see if you really like it.
