If the piano plays an Eb in the treble clef, the tuba plays an Eb in the bass clef. Piano g tbl, tuba g bass etc. The tuba is a concert key instrument as is the piano, flute, oboe, all strings and all instruments in the bass clef, as trombones bassoons, etc. These are all non-transposing instruments. The problem of transposition arises with transposing instruments, clarinets and trumpets, saxes,fr horn, etc.
