I ran across a great book in our library here at USM last semester. It is entitled "Twentieth Century Brass Soloists" by Michael Meckna. The copyright is listed as 1994 and the book is published by Greenwood Press. ISBN 0-313-26468-6
There is a good biography of Pryor on pages 190-193 with a selected discography and bibliography.
