I prefer the Miraphone 181 F. It really sings in the upper register and has a commanding low register also. It is a rotary horn, but they are the fastest I've ever played. Its 6 valves really help with tuning also. F's are known for their tuning problems, but this one is pretty accurate. Most of the problem is in the ears anyway. The Yamaha is a nice horn at a good price also. It has 4 pistons and a thumb activated rotor. I saw Sam Palafian play it and it sounded very nice. The main thing is to try as many as possible and find the one you like the best. Good luck, Steve
