Good question, put your flamethrower away. I am in my late 30's and grew up on an F tuba that sounded completely different than the horns out now. I prefer the smaller, brighter sound of the old B&S, Scherzer, Alex's, and the elusive Zeiss F(some say the best evr made). Mind you, that is my taste. I want my F to sound and "feel" like an F, not a small CC. My taste, not anyone elses. Of course, contents may settle on shipping. let's not get into a flame contest, I won't play!!!!! I'll take my ball and go home. BTW, I love the feel of the Yamaha's, but I wouldn't know what to do with an F tuba that could play a Db and C openly ;). Cheers.
