How do ya do it? I've known that I wan tto be a musician all of my life! I have never had much financialy but the passion I have for music makes up for all the materialistic things that I have never had and am fine with out. I wish to ask those of you who are making a living with this-- How do YOU do it? Is it necissary for me to buy a big fancy horn that will cost more than a decent car? Or should I go the teaching route? I know alot of bad teachers who resent the fact that they had to fall back on teaching, but I don't think I would resent teaching if it came to that. My problem is that I want to perform but am finding that the availability of jobs is slim and the demand is outragous!
So is it worth the investment of $10,347 for a 'decent' horn if I become a fabulous player and can't get a job?
