The St. Petersburg 201N is a super buy for the money. I played a 186CC Miraphone in college and this tuba is far superior in my opinion. It has an excellent lower register without any stuffiness. The tone, agility, and overall playability far exceeds the Miraphone. I had my doubts about the quality of the horn, but as soon as I played it I was sold. For a 4 Valve horn you cannot beat the price or the quality. The upper register is also clear and unburdened. It's not a Hirsbrunner; but your not paying for one.
