I just sold an Altieri bag and am waiting for the RB replacement. Why? Becuase even though the Altieri bag was unlikely to break, the same could not be said for my back. I hated loading my 18-pound Miraphone into a top-loader--but the 30-pound York is misery. And pulling that horn out of a top-loader is no mean feat, and I have had to resort to lifting the horn by the bell edges (ARGH!). And lifting the horn into the bag required swing it up, and hoping that my grip didn't give way, which would have launched the horn across the room. I have large hands (can palm a basketball), and am not unfit. I can't imagine managing one of these bags if I was smaller and less able to lift heavy weights.

Altieri bags are well-made, but some horns are just too heavy for a top-loader.
