I've been looking to get a larger horn, and because of price limitations, I've decided to start looking at some BBb horns. (I played a BBb horn in high school, but have played strictly CC and F horns since). I saw a jupiter horn on eBay (4 piston BBb with gold plated valve caps... hey, I'm a sucker for such gimmicks). Now, my only experience with Jupiter horns was with some AWFUL sousaphones I played in high school, but I was wondering if their tubas were any better. I know that they make some pretty high quality flutes, but I'm still weary of their brass. Anyways, any input would be appreciated.
This jupiter horn sure looks nice, I'm just curious as to how it plays, and if it's worth up to $3,000. Thanks.
