I have not used a tarnish bag myself, but I have seen pros like Sam Pilafian use one. I use, and have for some time now, a polishing paste called MAAS. You can get it at some grocery & hardware stores. In Cincinnati, I know it is at Thriftway and they are run by Winn Dixie, so if either one of them is around you, check it out, The stuff works wonders. It takes time to polish it all off, but I bought some cloth diapers from a baby superstore and use about 20 each time I shine my horns (Getzen G-50S & Yamaha YFB-621S).
For everyday, I use two large size silver polishing cloths (I use Yamaha), the larger, the better. I also use the Bach two-sided, treated cloth to get out any spots.
