My apologies. I knew there was something that I forgot to edit out of that response. After thinking about it, I had intended to post my thought the the 621 was better for solo work and the 822 was better for orchestral and larger groups. I did include the comment about the tone being different, but neglected to add the rest. I also agree in the a couple scratches save policy. I bought a C stock 621 and can barely find any problem. The only one that I and 3 repair men could find was a small blotch in the plating on the 2nd valve casing. I saved over $800.
