Others (Tony for example) can talk about several. I can talk first hand about my doctoral studies with Tommy Johnson, after having done masters work with Jake and my bachelor degree with Floyd. Tommy is absolutely an outstanding teacher and while he did not study with Jake---he came to many of the same conclusions as a player/teacher in terms of air and sound were all main concepts. My encounters were fabulous, he even arranged to have Bruce Broughton play his own piano reduction on a doctoral recital of the Concerto/Sonata.
Can't say enough about Tommy.
