Besson Prestige Euph has a trigger on the main tuning slide for a few specific notes, not the low register. The compensating system is for the 7 notes that need "pitch compensation" in the low register.

Besson euphs have a few middle register notes that are sharp. This is the purpose of the main slide trigger. Yamahas, Willsons, etc have the same pitch problems on the same middle register notes, BUT they err on the flat side as opposed to the sharp side. A trigger wouldn't help those horns.

Happy Hunting!
