So if I'm a beginner tuba player, w/o access to a school horn, and also living in the west part of the country w/o access to a big music store, and I want to buy a tuba, what do I do? I'd love to get a good horn at a good price, so I can sell it later for what I have in it, but so far I'm just watching from the wings, because I have no way of telling the quality of what I'm buying. It's going to be a shot in the dark.
