No, Grover didn't make the show. And I'm not about to laugh, because he was a fantastic player, and although I don't get into what he does, I can appreciate the quality he puts into it. But ultimately, I can see why he had to get left out. Talent alone just can't be enough to merit inclusion in such a cursory survey. The show concentrated on revolutionary figures up to about 1961, and then shifted it's attention to neo-conservatives. Pretty much all fusion and smooth jazz got left out of the picture.
