I wonder if the nimblness of the Rudys is deceiving. Even the 5/4 CC plays like a smaller horn, but seems to really pack a punch. Rudy Meinl takes a different approach to their construction in that they use a much lighter weight materials in the bells (and maybe branches) than some other makers. I get a lot more feed back when I play mine than any other horn I've tried. The horn seems to resonate in my hands if I'm really in the pocket!
